 High-Weight Alternatives to Boosters

Booster seats are not always the most suitable child restraint for children over 40 pounds.  There are other products fitting heavier children who need extra support or are too wiggly to stay seated in a booster.  These products also can be used in a seating position that does not have a seat belt with a shoulder strap (three-point belt) that is necessary for booster use.  Boosters should NOT be used unless the seating position has a shoulder belt as well as a lap belt.
